The Vention Pneumatic Valve controls compressed air flow on demand in industrial automation, commonly used for machine tending, pick-and-place, and assembly operations. It blocks airflow when de-energized, creating a fail-safe environment where air stops immediately upon power or signal loss.
This valve uses a normally closed design that blocks airflow until energized through a solenoid. When powered, it directs compressed air through its 3-port 2-position configuration and stops air delivery if power is interrupted or the signal is lost.
The valve operates between 0.15 and 0.8 MPa and delivers up to 430 l/min at rated pressure. It switches in 35 milliseconds, enabling fast response in time-sensitive automation tasks.
The Vention Pneumatic Valve integrates seamlessly with Vention IO Module v2 for digital I/O control of pneumatic actuation. It connects through standard pneumatic fittings and includes 4 meters of 8mm OD tubing for quick installation.
An internal pilot mechanism enables faster switching with lower power consumption compared to standard solenoid valves. This design reduces energy use while maintaining reliable automation performance.

Solenoid valve control versus manual or simple on-off pneumatic switching:

Choose this electronically controlled valve when you need automated air management integrated with digital signals, rather than manual lever control or fixed pneumatic logic. The normally closed design ensures fail-safe operation, cutting air the instant power or signal is lost.

  • For high-speed pick-and-place or machine tending cycles, the 35 ms switching response and internal pilot mechanism deliver fast, power-efficient air routing without manual intervention.
  • In shared automation cells where safety is critical, the valve blocks all airflow when de-energized, preventing unintended actuator motion even if the controller stops.
  • For flows up to 430 l/min across typical industrial payloads, the 0.15–0.8 MPa range accommodates both light gripping and medium-force tasks in one compact unit.
  • When paired with Vention IO Module v2, digital I/O signals trigger the valve directly, eliminating separate relay logic or pneumatic timer hardware.
